Hybrid Chickens
A stunning attractive small to medium sized hen, laying approx. 280 large size white / cream eggs in her 1st year. Certainly a favorite bird and often in short supply for this reason.
Typically used in large commercial farms, the Lochmann brown hybrid will produce approx. 320 large light brown shelled eggs in her first year. A very friendly docile hen perfect for the first time keeper.
A popular choice with its stunning blue / grey plumage. Slightly larger than most coloured hybrids. Laying approx. 260- 280 light brown eggs in its first year. Different shades of blue / grey often available some with more brown neck markings than others.
A beautiful bird, slightly smaller than average hybrids but laying larger than average size eggs. Very prolific \ hardy but sometimes a bit “skitty”. That said will lay 320 large white shelled eggs in her first year. Certainly a recommended hen for those that want a nice consistent supply of eggs all year round.

Certainly an excellent choice sir, always in demand and normally a waiting list for hatching eggs and stock. Pure brilliant white plumage with a striking black collar / neck markings. In season a great regular egg layer.
Lets to honest you do not keep these gentle giants for their egg production, approx 180- 200 egg a year. You keep these because you want to show off to your friends and neighbours. One of my favourite breeds and extremely popular at beck lodge poultry
I breed the large fowl partridge version. A good traditional breed laying a super dark chocolate coloured shelled egg. Very rarely goes broody. Extremely hardy and prolific laying up to 260 eggs a year

I only keep this colour pekin bantam, every bird has its own unique markings which change with every moult. Super friendly and a excellent choice for younger keepers.
